Mary Jennings
With 33 years of experience in the accounting field, Mary Jennings offers the expert guidance businesses and families need to make the right financial decisions. As the firm’s Senior Accountant, Mary prepares financial statements and business income tax returns and provides computer training and installation services. "I particularly enjoy this part of my work because I love to show clients how they can ‘take control’ of their checkbook and turn it into very useful information for their business," Mary says.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri, and raised on a farm near LaCygne, Kansas, Mary received a Bachelor’s degree in accounting from Wichita State University. After college, she spent four years at Chipman & McMurray, and then took a hiatus from accounting to operate Jennings Trophy Sales with her husband, Jim, and to supervise the publishing of The American Woodworker magazine. In 1989, Mary resumed her public accounting career when she began working for Robert Jennings.
When she’s not serving clients, Mary is active in her church. In addition to singing in the Hendersonville First Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir and Women’s Ensemble, Mary has been teaching children’s choir for 18 years and is currently teaching the second grade choir. She enjoys reading, going on photo shoots and attending model airplane contests with her husband. Mary and Jim have four children, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
